Damon Lee Perry is a British freelance photographer and writer based in Beijing since 2000.

His first publication appeared in the UK’s Independent on Sunday concerning fugitives from slave labour programs in Burma. The

article was subsequently cited in Human Rights Watch's Burma Country Report (also published by UNHCR). Other publications include

Chinese child gymnasts, for the South China Morning Post Magazine, and the 20 year aftermath of the world's worst industrial accident

in Bhopal, India for Days Japan.

His first exhibition, on the ongoing situation in Bhopal, took place in December 2004 in Beijing's 798 Photo Gallery. A selection of

these images was also exhibited in the Science and Culture Museum in Beijing as part of a government and United Nations sponsored

exhibition called 'Water for Life' to raise awareness of water sustainability in China.

As well as a photographer and writer, Damon has experience in the development world, working for a number of international projects.
